We highly recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure a rental. There are many dates we book out well in advance for weekend dates. Please note that we do accept walkins but cannot always accomodate depending on availability!
It is very important that you show up at the correct location for your shuttle the day of your float!
Monday- Friday rentals need to come to the Office first at 21430 River Rd. Monticello, IA 52310
Saturday, Sunday, & Holiday rentals need to come to the Shuttle Lot first at 12521 190th St Monticello, IA 52310.
17 Foot Metal Canoe
Weekday Rental- $30 per canoe
Weekend & Holiday Rental $40 per canoe
Weight Limit of 875lbs.
Holds 2 adults comfortably.
May have 3 people (especially if 1 is a child or all 3 are smaller adults or teens. Seating for 2 - so if 3 people that 3rd person would need to sit on the floor of the canoe. All seats are metal so might be a good idea to rent a seat cusion from us for $1 each for your bottom.
8 mile float - approximate 3-4 hours float time depending on water level and stops you make on the way.
Shuttle to go on to the river occurs between 9AM-Noon
All canoers need to be at shuttle location before noon to go on river for the day!

10 Foot Kayak
Daily Rental - $25 per kayak
Weight limit of 250lbs.
Holds 1 person
All of our kayaks are single person kayaks. The majority of them are the sit down in , we do have a few sit on top kayaks that you would need to specify at time of reservation in order to reserve.
8 mile float- approximate 3-4 hours float time depending on water level and stops you make along the way.
Shuttle to go on to the river occurs between 9AM-Noon
All kayakers need to be at shuttle location before noon to go on river for the day!

4 Foot Kids Kayak
Daily Rental - $15 per kayak
Weight limit 130 lbs.
Recommended for ages 5 and up with adult supervision.
Sit on top kayak for 1 person. Great for beginners! We have the option of 4 ft or 6ft kids kayaks. Please specify at time of reservation.

8 mile float = approximate 5-6 hours float time depending on water level and stops you make along the way.
Since it takes tubers longer to float the river we have strict cutoff times. All tubers need to be at shuttle location between 9-10AM. We will not allow tubers out past 10AM. Please note that cutoff times are subject to change depending on river level.
We do not allow tubes or inflatables of any kind to be brought into our location!(inflated or deflated)

Cooler tube
Daily Rental - $15 per tube
48 x 36 x 12 inflated dual chamber heavy duty vinyl chamber river cooler tube.
Fits up to a 50 quart cooler.
Just a reminder you are just renting the cooler tube- you will need to bring the cooler filled with your refreshments. Please NO GLASS on the river.
We do supply rope so you can tie your cooler tube onto your tube or kayak.
We do not allow any cooler tubes or inflatables of any kind to be brought into our location!(inflated or deflated)
